Frequently asked questions

Do I need a licence to work as a welder in Spain?

There is no general licence to weld, but most industrial jobs ask for a current welder qualification for the process, material and thickness, usually to EN ISO 9606 or ASME IX. Where the job asks for one, you need to hold it, or pass the test, before you start.

What is a welder qualification?

It is the certificate that shows you can weld with a given process, material, thickness range and position, under a standard such as EN ISO 9606. Not every job requires it, but the ones that do, such as pressure vessels, structures or process pipework, will not let you start without it.

How do I send my CV to MetalBraga?
